Each year, the Mark O. Hatfield Library and the Willamette Store collaborates with the Salem-Keizer School District to identify one local public school, from a list of nominated schools, to be the recipient of the books collected that year.
We invite the Willamette community to donate children's books (new and used books in good condition) to help promote literacy in the Salem area. Hats, gloves, and scarves are also welcome.
While you're out and about doing your shopping, why not pick out a book for this worthwhile cause? The Willamette Store is also offering a 25% discount on children's books purchased for the Tree of Giving.
Please drop off all items at the Hatfield Library or the Willamette Store between Nov. 17 and Jan. 17.
