WU's annual MLK observances and celebrations are just around the corner, and we will be hosting a book club as part of this program.
The book club will read and discuss "Black Food: Stories, Art, and Recipes from Across the African Diaspora," written by our January guest speaker Bryant Terry. We will likely meet a few times between now and our late January MLK events.
Bryant Terry is an award-winning chef and food justice activist whose focus is on creating healthy, sustainable and just food systems. His book is both a cookbook, an exploration of our food systems and a culinary history and celebration of the African diaspora.
Join now! If you'd like to be a part of the book group and receive a free copy of Bryant Terry's book before winter break, please fill out the attached sign-up sheet before Dec. 12, as the book order will be placed soon. Additional copies will be ordered on demand.
