Willamette University MBA has been named one of Poets & Quants and Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2018 Best Business Schools again.
The ninth annual Poets & Quants list combines the latest five most influential business school rankings in the world: U.S. News & World Report (weighted 35%), Forbes (25%), The Financial Times (15%), Businessweek (15%) and The Economist (10%). Willamette MBA is ranked No. 78 nationwide, second in the Pacific Northwest and first in Oregon.
The annual Bloomberg Businessweek Best B-Schools ranking is based on compensation and job-placement data for each school as well as on surveys of students, alumni and recruiters. For the first time, Businessweek ranked schools in four separate categories — compensation, learning, networking and entrepreneurship.
Notably, Willamette MBA is ranked ninth in entrepreneurship, beating Harvard (11), the University of Washington (15) and Cornell (19).
Willamette MBA also performed strongly in other categories, ranking 35th in learning, 50th in networking, and 92nd in compensation with an overall U.S. ranking of 81 — the second highest-ranked school in the Pacific Northwest and first in Oregon.
“These rankings are testament to the talent, commitment and hard work of the entire Willamette community — students, alumni, staff, faculty, friends and employers," says Mike Hand, interim dean and professor of applied statistics and information systems. “We should be incredibly proud of our shared accomplishment.”
