Willamette among Princeton Review’s top colleges

The latest edition of Princeton Review’s popular guidebook, “The Best 384 Colleges,” names Willamette University as one of the nation’s top colleges. Ranked as well among the nation’s environmentally friendly and sustainable colleges, Willamette is listed also as a “Best Western College” and a “College that Pays You Back.”

The editors describe Willamette’s academic programs as “outstanding,” highlighting facilities designed to support academics and athletics. Students describe an active campus life, with one student noting, “Very few students only attend class; most have three or more activities they are involved in.”

Willamette has a long history of appearing in Princeton Review’s annual guide, which profiles about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges.

In addition to detailed profiles, the guide includes colleges’ rating scores in eight categories, including academics, quality of life and admissions. The rankings are based on a survey of 138,000 students attending the colleges.
