Each year at Atkinson, we host Preview Day as a way to allow prospective students a chance to actually experience our MBA program as they consider the graduate education options.
On April 14, attendees will have options to meet and talk with current and former MBA candidates, as well as attend two mock classes being offered by Assistant Professor of Operations Management Andrew Kach and Grace and Elmer Goudy Professor of Public Management and Policy Analysis Tim Johnson.
Recent MBA graduates Trevor Bassett-Smith ’10, MBA’17, and Anna Sevostyanova MBA’17 will be available for questions during the Current Student & Alumni Panel. Bassett-Smith served in the Peace Corps between earning his undergraduate degree from Willamette and returning for his MBA. He currently works as a marketing analyst at HP. Sevostyanova works in the nonprofit sector as an HR generalist at Boys & Girls Club.
“Prospective students learn a great deal when they interact with current, past and future students and our faculty and administrators,” Atkinson Dean Debra Ringold said. “Visits to campus and interactions with learning communities are important for students trying to ascertain ‘fit’ between a program and their aspirations.”
Our Career Management team will offer “Planning for Your Career,” a session for those attending that want to learn more about how to leverage the MBA as a tool to launch and guide your career.
Preview Day will conclude with a reception with faculty, staff and current MBA candidates, followed by a $1,000 textbook stipend raffle.
