Intercultural Celebration, Lavender Celebration, and First-Generation College Student Celebration are events sponsored by the Office of Intercultural Engagement and Inclusion and the Gender Resource Advocacy Center to celebrate the accomplishments of graduating students. These events provide the opportunity for us to celebrate the cultural intersections of students’ lives, honor their communities, and share in the next phase of their journeys.
Salem Lavender Celebration - Monday, May 12th at 10:00 a.m. in Cat Cavern
Salem First-Gen Celebration - Tuesday, May 13th at 4:00 p.m. in Cat Cavern
Salem Intercultural Celebration - Thursday, May 15th at 4:00 p.m. in Cat Cavern
Graduating students (undergraduate and graduate level from any school) and Willamette students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, family, and other supporters of our graduating students who would like to participate in or attend the Intercultural Celebration, Lavender Celebration, and/or First-Generation College Graduate Celebration in May are invited.
RSVP deadline has been extended to is April 27th for graduates who are interested in participating in this celebration and still April 27th for staff and faculty attendees. RSVPs are collected for all guests so we can place a food order and provide enough tables and chairs.

Additionally, the Affinity Celebration Planning Committees are in search of graduating student speakers! This is an incredible opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class, inspire your fellow graduates as we celebrate this incredible milestone.
The deadline to be considered as one of the student speakers has also been extended to Sunday, April 27th at 11:59pm.
