The Salem campus will host a slate of Farmworker Recognition events this April. The month is a historically sacred time for PNW farmworkers. It's the start of the pre-harvest seasons and arrival of migrant farmworkers. April also marks the anniversary of the establishment of the first farmworker union, Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste (PCUN) founded in 1985. The month is also the memorial anniversary of the farm labor icon, Cesar Chavez. Funding for the event is provided by CAFES. We are also seeking photography submission to be featured in a photo exhibit at the events.
We look forward to seeing you. Please contact me
