Night markets have been significant to the survival and success of diasporic Asian-American communities by fostering rich environments in which people of different backgrounds may share and celebrate their cultures while attaining creative affirmation and financial support. As such, the Collective AAPISA Night Market aspires to provide an opportunity for Asian students at Willamette University to represent themselves through art, celebration, and pride. We also hope to share the beauty and essence of Asian cultures with the Salem community and invite community members from or beyond Salem to join the Night Market’s efforts to facilitate cultural diversity and representation.
We are SO excited to share that we are going to be hosting the first ever Collective AAPISA Night Market here at Willamette (Salem Campus). Join us for a night of live entertainment, activities, vendors, and so much more!
