CANCELLED - JED "You Can Help a Student" Training for Faculty & Staff

Contact: Don Thomson

Please note that this event is being rescheduled. A new date and time will be communicated soon.

Update Feb. 27: We are rescheduling this JED "You Can Help a Student" training so faculty and staff can attend President Thorsett's important webinar on the Dear Colleague Letter at that time.  We will find another day to offer this training and will communicate that soon.  Thank you for your understanding.

Intended for faculty and staff, this 90 minute interactive presentation is provided as a part of Willamette's JED Campus Program. The presentation will provide an overview of student mental health that includes Willamette/PNCA and national context, and walk you through how to hold space and have conversations about mental health with students - including how we show up and take care of ourselves. We’ll also share resources that are important for you and your students to know. It is not your responsibility to fix everything, but you can still have a tremendous impact for a student.

There will be additional JED training opportunities for faculty and staff at PNCA, as well as students to engage with this important topic in the coming weeks. More information to follow soon.
