Our second annual Civic Commons on February 4 will bring together students, faculty, and community partners to learn about civic and democratic engagement at Willamette and beyond!

Willamette's second annual Civic Commons will gather members of the University community around the strategic priority of Democratic Institutions. The day's events will showcase the ways in which students, faculty, and staff are already studying and practicing engaged democracy, and will foster new conversations and collaborations around topics of mutual interest.

With in-person and virtual sessions at the Schnitzer Center in Portland and the University Center in Salem, the Civic Commons will feature lectures, panels, documentary screenings, and poster sessions with members of the University community and local partners in Salem and Portland.

For more information and a schedule of events, see the Civic Commons website!
