As previously announced, with Dan Valles’ recent departure, we are transitioning from a Chief Operating Officer model back to a Chief Financial Officer framework. This restructuring has necessitated the realignment of several key operational areas previously under the Chief Operating Officer's purview:
- Willamette Integrated Technology Services (WITS) will now be positioned under the Office of the General Counsel, allowing for closer alignment of our technology strategies with risk and compliance initiatives;
- Laura Taylor, Associate Provost for Academic Finance will become Associate Vice President for Budget and Resource Planning. In this expanded role, Laura will report directly to me as the Chief Financial Officer and will help ensure seamless integration between academic financial planning and broader institutional financial strategy;
- The Scheduling and Events Office will be consolidated under Jennifer Mathany's leadership in her capacity as Director of Auxiliary Services, creating a more streamlined approach to campus operations and event management; and
- Enrollment Management will report directly to the president while Willamette searches for its next provost.
The new reporting structures are effective immediately. Please let me know if you have any questions about these changes.
