All Willamette University faculty and staff are invited to join the LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG). The goal of the LGBTQ+ ERG is to foster connections among the Willamette faculty and staff community across all campuses through community-building, mentorship, advocacy and support, and visibility.
We do this through enjoying meals, attending local events, creativity, intentional community-building, service, media discussion, learning opportunities, and more!
If you are not currently on the email list and are interested in joining, you can contact one or more of the ERG coordinators listed below:
Lisa Logan - ljlogan@willamette.edu
Sarah Schollmeyer - sschollmeyer@willamette.edu
Paul McKean - pmckean@willamette.edu
Jewls Griesmeyer-Krentz - jgriesmeyer@willamette.edu
Chris Potts - cpotts@willamette.edu
We also invite you to fill out our Google form, where you can share your ideas and hopes for this group.
About Employee Resource Groups
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are employee-led voluntary groups that are intended to help foster a more equitable, inclusive, and supportive workplace experience. These intentional spaces for employees are generally organized around shared interests, identities, or backgrounds. ERGs are valuable as they enhance inclusive community engagement efforts, and assist in the recruitment and retention of a diverse community of employees. ERGs must welcome all employees.
If you would like to start your own employee resource group, you can find the application on the linked ERG website. If you have any questions about this process you can contact Emilio Solano, Assistant Provost for Institutional Equity and Community Engagement, at easolano@willamette.edu.
