Weather-related closures or late starts will be communicated via a banner on our homepage and email.

With winter weather upon us, we want to remind you of the university's policy and process for making and communicating decisions about campus operations in Portland and Salem due to inclement weather.

A Willamette University team comprised of representatives from Facilities, Campus Safety, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and University Communications will assess weather conditions and make decisions regarding late starts or campus closures based on safety and the potential impact on campus operations. Decisions may vary for the Salem and Portland campuses.

Weather-related closures or late starts will be communicated via a banner on our homepage at willamette.edu and an email will be sent to all faculty, staff, and students at their official university email accounts.
