In just a few weeks, Willamette University will welcome new undergraduate students and their families to the Salem campus for Opening Days 2023. The Student Engagement & Leadership (SEAL) Office is looking for staff and faculty to assist with a variety of events and services during those exciting days.
On Tuesday, Aug. 22, they need assistance with staffing flair/signage set-up (6:30–8:30 a.m.) as well as residence hall move-in (7:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.) and the welcome picnic (4:30–6:30 p.m.).
On Wednesday, Aug. 23, the Opening Convocation needs ushers (10–11:30 a.m.) and the lunch picnic needs attendants (11:30 a.m.–1:45 p.m.).

A brief orientation will be offered via Zoom on both Tuesday, Aug. 8 and Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. so you can learn more about your role. Schedules will be confirmed and sent to those who sign up by Thursday, Aug. 10. Assistants will then need to pick up their shift packets from the SEAL office by 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 21 for Tuesday assistants or 4:30 pm on Aug. 22 for Wednesday Assistants. Employees wishing to help with move-in need supervisor approval. Hourly employees should record their time spent on these activities on their time sheets (per HR and Legal).
