The Festival is called the “Most Great Festival" and the “King of Festivals.” It commemorates the twelve days that Baha'u'llah spent in the garden of Ridvan outside Baghdad and the public declaration of his mission with his family and followers. There are three holy days during Ridvan, the first, ninth, and twelfth, upon which work is suspended for Baha’is.
