As a part of Willamette’s larger commitment to promoting overall wellness within our community, we are pleased to announce expanded mental health support for all currently enrolled students. Willamette University has partnered with Uwill, an independent student mental health and wellness solution that offers access to telehealth counseling. In addition to and separate from counseling offered through Bishop Wellness Center, students have an additional and immediate, secure, and convenient way to receive online-based counseling services should the need arise. We launch this new service in addition to the important work already underway as part of our broad JED Campus Initiative.
Through Uwill, students can:
- Choose a therapist based on your preferences including issue, gender, language, ethnicity
- Choose a time that fits your schedule with day, night and weekend availability
- Choose your appointment type, video, phone, chat, or message
There is no cost to use Uwill. Willamette University will provide students with 240 counseling credits every year; which will provide up to 8 individual counseling sessions or 16 scheduled chat sessions with a licensed provider every year. Access is quick and easy. Students can register and book your first session. If you need any assistance, you can refer to the Uwill FAQ or reach out directly to Uwill at 833.99.Uwill or support@uwill.com.
