Willamette University is offering high school seniors a more affordable way to kick start college.
Designed for first-year students, the university’s new summer classes — on topics including indigenous cinema, nanotechnology, chemistry and poetry — introduce students to future faculty members and classmates. Registration ends June 5 at 5 p.m.
All classes will be taught remotely from July 6-30. Students who enroll at Willamette this fall can apply 50% of what they paid toward their fall term bill. Tuition remission does not apply.
The only requirement for students is access to a computer and high-speed internet connection. Otherwise, all readings and films will be made available for free online.
