The College of Liberal Arts has 374 first-year students and 32 transfer students who represent 26 states and three countries.
Academically, the class has an average GPA of 3.91, an SAT of 1255 (math plus verbal) and an ACT of 28, similar to previous years. The class includes several athletes and 14 students from Willamette Academy.
The College of Law has 129 students this year, including two attending part-time. For the fifth consecutive year, more than half of the class is female.
Students range in age from 20 to 66. Seventeen students share the same name with at least one other student in the class, and the class includes one student who participated in a guzheng (also known as the Chinese zither) performance for more than 1,000 people at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
The Atkinson Graduate School of Management welcomed 36 full-time students and two exchange students from Denmark and France. The class represents eight states as well as students from China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gambia and Saudi Arabia.
