This spring, Nibedita Saha MBA’19, Natalie Giersch MBA’18, and Andrew Ionita MBA’17 took a Lean Six Sigma course and successfully passed the ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt examination. Students worked diligently in this course to learn hundreds of new concepts, methods, and tools and completed more than 1,000 exercise questions to enhance their learning. Their hard work is rewarding. More importantly, their tremendous learning effort not only added extra value to their MBA education at Willamette MBA, but will add more value to organizations by using statistical methods to make continuous improvements--the core principle of the Six Sigma methodology.
This Lean Six Sigma course was originally developed in 2011 with the support of a Hewlett Grant from Willamette University and has been updated constantly.
Students Natalie Giersch MBA’18 and Andrew Ionita MBA’17 took the Lean Six Sigma course through Willamette MBA for Life, a program that provides lifelong learning opportunities and return on investment for Willamette MBA alumni.
