Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management has once again landed on Forbes magazine’s biannual “Best Business Schools” list, which ranks the top business schools in the country based on the return on investment (ROI) achieved by graduates.
At number 54 this year, Willamette University MBA is the top-ranked program in Oregon, advancing six spots from its 2015 ranking. It is one of just two Oregon schools to have made the list, and one of three in the Pacific Northwest.
Forbes’ “Best Business Schools” rankings are based on surveys of thousands of business school alumni regarding their pre- and post-MBA salaries, career choices, and locations, according to the publication. The difference between the salaries a graduate would have earned in five years with and without an MBA represents what Forbes calls the “5-year MBA gain,” the number which determines where schools rank on the list.
“Graduates of our program maximize their return on investment by earning their MBAs early in their careers, and we are proud to see those results being recognized on the Forbes ‘Best Business Schools’ list,” said Dean and JELD-WEN Professor of Free Enterprise Debra J. Ringold.
Climbing the Forbes list only reinforces and underscores the school’s commitment to student success, she added.
“This ranking is a testament to the quality education and service provided by the faculty and staff of Willamette MBA,” said Ringold.
