On Tuesday, Feb. 23 Willamette University hosted its second 24 Hours of Giving philanthropic event.
The Bearcat community successfully beat its efforts of the inaugural event, raising more than $150,000 — in addition to over $100,000 in matching gifts and challenge grants — in just 24 hours.
Additionally, 41 new volunteers signed up through a special volunteer drive. These volunteers will help with internships and job opportunities, regional programming for alumni and prospective students, class reunions and more.
A special thanks to faculty, staff, alumni and parents for helping Willamette University garner support for the funds that benefit the students of today and beyond. The success of 24 Hours of Giving is truly due to the entire community. Thank you!
