At its annual accreditation conference in Chicago today, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International selected Punit Renjen MM'87, Deloitte Global CEO and Willamette University trustee, for its inaugural “Influential Leaders” list, which recognizes 100 AACSB-member-school alumni who inspire others through their professional and volunteer work.
Renjen’s work ethic took him from his hometown in Rohtak, India, to Willamette University, where his business acumen caught the attention of a journalist — and the eye of a partner at Touche Ross, which later became Deloitte.
Commenting on his inclusion in the list, Renjen said, "I am honored to represent my alma mater Willamette, which provided me an exceptional foundation on which to build my business career. Its legacy of academic excellence continues – helping students not only develop the business insights to thrive in a fast-changing global environment but also instilling an appreciation for the responsibility of business to contribute to the betterment of society. Willamette’s program reflects AACSB’s goal to promote high-quality, and relevant, curriculums that prepare our next generation of business leaders."

AACSB International’s accreditation represents the highest standard for management education. Willamette’s the largest of the AACSB-accredited MBA programs in Oregon, and its Early Career and Career Change MBA is one of only two programs in the nation also accredited for public administration by NASPAA, the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration.
