Princeton Review names Willamette a top college

by Erin Dahl,

The latest edition of Princeton Review’s popular guidebook, “The Best 380 Colleges,” names Willamette University as one of the nation’s top green colleges.

Ranked 13th among environmentally friendly and sustainable colleges, Willamette scored all possible 99 points. It also placed fourth on the “Impact Schools” list, and it was named a top private school, a “Best Western College” and a “College that Pays You Back.”

As students note in the book, Willamette’s “learning opportunities outside of the classroom are endless.” Students describe professors as “incredible resources” and say that the campus environment “encourages growth and development.”

Willamette has a long history of appearing in Princeton Review’s annual guide, which profiles about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges.

In addition to detailed profiles, the guide includes colleges’ rating scores in eight categories, including academics, quality of life and admissions. The rankings are based on a survey of 136,000 students attending the colleges.
