Congratulations to Megan Wood. As part of the Art + Science Initiative, the Illustration student has been awarded a $2500 research grant to work closely with an expert group of scientists to illustrate a proposed book, Warming the West, on the impact of climate change in the Western United States and Canada.
"Megan Wood is a painter and illustrator making work about distorted realities, the figure, magic, beauty, and surreal narratives. Using acrylic, oil and digital mediums, Wood uses expressive brushwork and flowing lines to render her pieces. She is passionate about diverse representation and mental health, as well as body positivity. Wood is based in Portland, OR where she attends the Pacific Northwest College of Art."
