Through PNCA's Art + Science Initiative, Art + Science STEAM student educators collaborate with PNCA faculty and OMSI staff to develop and teach weeklong summer camps for middle school age students, using their creative practice to explore shapes and forms in nature, investigate species anatomy, and understand process on land and in the atmosphere and oceans.
The appointment gives students an opportunity to explore creative teaching methods and develop ways to facilitate a deeper understanding of what art and design thinking can spark in young minds when they investigate the natural world.
