The MFA in Applied Craft + Design launched the Asterisk in Residence program in 2016. It is designed to enable creative thinkers, makers, and entrepreneurs to apply for a semester-long research or fabrication focused residency. The purpose of this residency is to create a competitive, distinct and rare opportunity for disciplines ranging in but not limited to design, fine art, craft, science, creative writing and the curatorial arts to work with the MFA in Applied Craft + Design community in the development of new:
· Knowledge
· Ideas
· Projects
· Prototypes
· Products and/or
· New approaches or solutions to particular business needs or aspirations
