Meet the Artists of PNCA: George Johanson

PNCA Faculty Emerati George Johanson will capture the essence of jazz duo Panorama in a portrait of the musicians as they play. Panorama features Fred Hard on bass and Jason Okamoto on guitar. Johanson moved to Portland from Seattle in 1946 to attend PNCA, then called the Museum Art School. He taught at the school and served as head of the printmaking department until his retirement.
The event is held in conjunction with the Portland Art Museum's PNCA At 100 exhibit, now through September 13.
