Willamette University’s full-time MBA program has been named as a top business school in the U.S. by Bloomberg Businessweek, the program’s twelfth consecutive year on the list.
The Willamette MBA is ranked first in Oregon and second in the Pacific Northwest. The program is No. 65 in the nation — five spots higher than last year — based on compensation data, quality of curriculum, strength of networks, entrepreneurship, and inclusion.
Bloomberg ranked Willamette first in the Pacific Northwest in two key areas: Entrepreneurship and Learning. With its courses in developing new ventures, opportunities to practice real-world investing like the first-of-its-kind student-run Angel Fund, and concentration in entrepreneurship, Willamette’s MBA prepares students to launch startups and build new enterprises. Throughout its core curriculum, students are exposed to myriad experiential learning opportunities from consulting to investing.
“These rankings reinforce what we already know: Willamette’s MBA is the best in Oregon and the Atkinson School is a national leader in experiential management education,” said Romana Autrey, Dean of the Atkinson Graduate School of Management. “The entire Atkinson community can take pride in our being ranked the top performing school in the Pacific Northwest for Learning and for Entrepreneurship.”
The rankings drew on survey data from alumni and students. For this year’s list, Bloomberg spoke to current students, graduates from the class of 2024, and alumni from 2017–2019.
