Willamette University is excited to hold its first in-person commencement since 2019. The event will be held May 15.
For the College of Arts and Sciences, Mercy Corps Chief Executive Officer Tjada D’Oyen McKenna will deliver the commencement address at the Quad. The ceremony starts at 2:30 p.m. A Lavender Graduation Brunch will be held May 9 while a Black and Brown Joy ceremony will be held May 13.
At the College of Law, the ceremony will start at 11:30 a.m. Oregon Court of Appeals Judge Darleen Oretega will deliver the commencement address. Graduation receptions and ceremonies for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 will be held May 14.
The Atkinson Graduate School of Management ceremony will start at 9 a.m. at the Quad Tent. Graduates will listen to Monte Hong BA ’84, MBA ’86, the worldwide communications industry business strategy lead at Microsoft, deliver the commencement address. Stephanie Gates, president of the Atkinson Student Association, is the featured student speaker.
At Pacific Northwest College of Art, the ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on May 22 at the Tiffany Center in Portland. Executive Director of Caldera Arts Kimberly Howard will deliver the commencement address. The graduate student address will be delivered by Elizabeth Arzani ’22, MFA in Visual Studies.
