Trinity Goff ’25 will perform Nov. 19 with the Oregon Symphony and Oregon Ballet Theatre orchestras in Portland as part of an award recognizing her outstanding talent.
A first-year student at Willamette University, Goff was among only six honored as Young Artists Debut! Van Buren Competition & Concerto Concert winners for 2020, according to Cognizart by MetroArts, the nonprofit behind the award.
She is the only one from her cohort who will perform at the November concert, which will include 2021 winners as well. She will play Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, First Movement.
Goff, who began piano lessons at age 3 and gave her first public performance by age 4, has accrued several accolades. She was a top winner in the the National Steinway Competition, the Oregon Mozart Players Concerto Competition and the professional division of the Chopin Northwest Piano Competition among others. Goff has also performed at the Oregon State University International Piano Festival as a Rising Young Artist.
